Legal Skills Training
Program attorneys will provide training to enhance your knowledge of court process and dependency law. For newer CASAs, this is an opportunity to reinforce the information presented during OT and address questions you may have as you work on your first cases. For experienced CASAs, this course will not only be a refresher but will provide information based on the latest court procedural changes, statutory amendments, and the impact of recent appellate cases on our practice.
This training includes a discussion of pertinent Guardian Ad Litem Rules but does not duplicate the GALR training. If you have previously done Legal 101/102 or Legal Skills training this will be a repeat, but you are welcome to attend.

- Overview of the shelter care process
